Although it may seem a difficult thing to fly with a baby, it can be quite easier than flying with an older kid.
What to use: well stocked diaper bag, infant tylenol, stroller, car seat, infant carrier, sling, or some other hands-free baby holder.
- It's recommended to use a back pack for keeping the diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, pacifiers and other things that you might need.
- Check with the pediatrician if you can give your baby tylenol in order for his ears not to hurt.
- It's recommended to take the car seat on the plane as it is safer.
- In case the baby has an infant car seat you can snap it into the stroller.
- You will need a hands-free carrier fro transporting the baby, but when going through security you will need a place to seat the baby. Therefore, take a stroller.
- When you get to the airplane ask if there any empty seats available where you could place the baby.
- Don't hesitate to ask for help with your baggage. The flight crews are quite willing to be helpful.
- Pre-board in order to have time to settle yourself and your baby.
- In order to ease the pressure on the baby's ear, give him a bottle or a pacifier while taking off.
- When getting off wait wait until the pushy people leave.
