- Pack your child's carry on in secret. Don't let him see what you put in his baggage in order to surprise him. Take toys, markers, stickers, snacks and a blanket or a pillow in order to make the seat comfortable.
- Visit the airlines website and see if the seats have television, what kind of food they are selling, what type of payment they accept and any other information that you might need.
- Prepare the kids for the flight and explain them how to behave for the check out. Tell them to hold hands in the airport in order not to get lost. In case you are traveling with a kid that is potty-trained it's better to use a diaper during the flight.
- When traveling with kids, it's advisable to get to the airport earlier. Give some time to the children to look through the window at the planes.
- The moment you are boarded get a small toy for the kid to play with during the take off.
- The moment you are on air you can give the child the toys he wants to play with. It's important to give him one toy at a time in order for him not to get bored of all his toys before the landing.
- Don't leave your kid an entire bottle of soda in case you know he will not drink it because you might find yourself with a lap full of garbage.
- If you are taking a long flight, it's important to walk your kid in order to avoid stiff legs or blood clots.
- Make sure you get rid of all the garbage one hour before landing. Pack the bags 30 minutes before landing and leave a small toy for the kid to play with while landing.
