Although it might seem quite hard to travel by plane with a toddler, if you have a good plane you might find it quite an easy thing to do.
What to use: toys, snacks, books, lovey, patience, positive attitude.
- Firstly, it's very important to choose a proper seat for the flight. Try to find a window seat in the bulk head seating because here there is more room and the kid can play on the floor near you. The flight should be during the toddler's sleeping hours in order for him to fall asleep for part of the flight.
- The toddler's diaper bag should contain a few pampers, wipes, snacks, toys, a change of clothes, a sippy cup, a book and a blanket or a toy animal.
- While waiting at the airport see if there is any playing area, this will make the time seem shorter. If the child feels like moving, take a walk around the airport and try to get his/her attention by showing him the airplanes.
- When boarding let your kid know that you are going to get into the airplane and that he/she has to be a good kid and to sit down quietly. Put some toys in front of your seat so that the child can easily take them. in case your kid utilizes a pacifier, lt him/her to use it, or you may give him/her a drink or a lollipop in order for his/her ears not to pop. Try to keep the toddler entertained during the flight with toys and snacks.
- In case the child feels asleep give him/her a blanket or a toy animal and see if he/she falls asleep.
